AFSS 2024 - On the Border Line

The Australian Freshwater Sciences Society (AFSS) is holding its annual conference from Monday 2nd December to Friday 6th December 2024.

This year’s meeting will be held as a face-to-face conference at the Albury Entertainment Centre, Albury, NSW. The Australian Freshwater Sciences Society conference brings together experts from across Australia and around the world in all disciplines of freshwater science, presenting the most up to date research, management and policy initiatives. Our conference theme this year is ‘’On the Borderline”.

Albury-Wodonga is situated in the heart of the Murray Darling Basin, on either side of the Murray River in NSW and Victoria. Within freshwater science there are many borderlines that we encounter, from ecotones to barriers to knowledge translation. In a changing world, innovative solutions to overcoming real or perceived barriers are needed. We invite papers presenting the most up to date research and initiatives on all aspects of freshwater science from foundational to applied. The congress will be of interest to a wide range of scientists, managers, policy makers and communicators, attracting between 200-300 delegates. We look forward to discussing all things freshwater at the conference in December.

More information around registrations, program and abstract submissions to be published soon.
